Dual station etec throttle reset

I have dual helm stations. My upper control throttle is flashing and will not engage. Supposedly there is a reset sequence. The motor is a 2010 250hp etec. The control throttles are 2016. Again the upper helm station control throttle is flashing (vey fast) and will not engage anything when the boat is turned on. The lower control throttle works with no issues. Thanks.

Re: Dual station etec throttle reset

The rapid flashing of the neutral light - 5 times per second - indicates a fault in the electronic shifting system. There will be service code stored in memory that a dealer tech can access with the diagnostic software and a laptop.

Because only the one control is affected and the engine operates and shift correctly with the other station, it is likely either a wiring (signal) problem of something inside the control. See your dealer for troubleshooting the issue.
