Model E35ELCND 1982 35 HP manual tilt trim instructions

Just bought this motor but not quite sure how to tilt the motor up. It has been sitting for a number of years and appears to be seized in the down position. Any ideas, been all over the net trying to get some good understanding.

Thanks

If the tilt lock handle on the starboard side moves back and forth, then the locking linkage, springs, etc. may be disconnected, rusted, or missing. If you can remove the tilt pin by taking the engine weight off of it, you can then tilt the motor up for a closer inspection.
