Lower unit and water pump torque 2000 Ficht 200 HP

[ Edited ]

Hi everyone!

I'm changing the water pump on my 2000 Ficht 200 HP and was wondering what the torque specs are. I'm pretty sure I need the torque for the lower unit and the water pump itself.

Thanks!

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

I'm curious, for the water pump kit, does the bowl, key and big o-ring need to be glued in or is this more for convenience while installing the parts so they don't fall out or move??

use 3M 847 sealer also known as Sealer 1000 or Type M sealer.

You would be better in the know if you obtained the factory service manual for your motor. See your dealer or www.outboardbooks.com
