Saltwater use

Just ordered a 250 today. I keep hearing rummbleings, that the 3 year 300 hour warranty does not apply to saltwater use. I asked my dealer about this and he said it did not affect the warranty. Any clarification out there?

Salt water use does not diminish warranty coverage.

You mentioned 3 year/300 hours, and I'm wondering if you're asking about maintenance, rather than warranty, because that is the recommended maintenance interval. For salt water use the only additional recommended maintenance is annual adding grease to 3 or 4 grease fittings and applying grease to the propeller shaft.
