[ Edited ]

Evinrude dealers have the benefit of calling the  support hot-line and talk with the factory technicians to help diagnose problems. Ask your dealer to take advantage ot that assistance both for you  and for the other customer that was mentioned.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

Re: 2013 E-Tech 115......Problem --- On and on....................

Just got off the phone with salesperson at Jarvis Marine (Tuckerton, NJ) that sold us the boat and motor combination.  He shared that the owner is awaiting a call back from Evinrude.  How long does it take to have a technical call returned to an authorized dealer?    Something has to be done and they seem toi be clueless..................

Normally the dealer technician speaks directly to a factory technician as soon as he calls the dealer support hot-line. This time of year being the peak of the season, there may be short hold time waiting for a tech.

You can call the Evinrude customer hot-line with the serial number at 262-884-5993, again there may be a hold for a factory person.

Took boat back to dealer.  Owner called and they are going to replace powerhead.
