25 hp E-TEC crapping out

HI Y'all,

So my 2011/ 2012 25 hp tiller is dying on me, have it at an authorized dealer and it's reading the high pressure fuel pump separator and a voltage issue. There are several posts with the similar issue and the new separator didn't fix the problem. Does anyone have any more insight on what's going on? I already bought a new tank and hose thinking that was the issue, it's no

Thanks for any advise you have.

Ask your dealer to put the engine serial number through his BossWeb program and it will show any service bulletins and other literature that may pertain to your engine.

Depending on your model and serial number you dealer can also check if service bulletin No. 2012-02(S) applies to your motor. It concerns certain tiller motors with stalling issues.

Your dealer can also contact Evinrude Dealer Support for hard to diagnose engines.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.
