I have a new JC pontoon (2016 sold in July 2017). It has a 250 H.O. engine with an engine monitoring screen mounted on the dash. In my documentation the monitoring system is referred to as "ICON" and/or "ICON Ii". I was given documentation by the selling dealer for an ICON 3.5 cs, but while my screen is the same size and has the same number of buttons, but my display is black and white and the 3.5 cs is color. Also, many of the screens are different, although some are the same.
I have several questions:
1) what is my model?
2) where can I find a user manual? I have searched the Evinrude site with no luck.
3) and most important - under the mode window, I see winterize - if I select this option will the engine winterize itself as described in the ICON 3.5 manual?
Thanks for any info!

You probably have the ICON Pro 3.5" gauge that has the tach needle and a small digital display window, is that correct?
This is a link to the ICON Pro brochure:
If this is your gauge, you may download the operator's guide here:

The last time I updated the device (software) the user interface changed substantially.
This could be the issue. You can get the software version off one of the screens.
Is it a square LCD panel with 4 buttons along the bottom?
I should add that functionally they are the same.

My display is all digital (no tach needle or replica gauges). It looks just like the 3.5 cs only not in color and with several different screens.
I am most concerned that winterization is just selecting that option and following the on screen instructions.

I don't think mine is 3.5 cs, because mine is not in color. It is square with 4 (5?) buttons across the bottom. Could it be an ICON II? Or does that refer to something else?

Did you read my post?
There is no other gauge, you are running a different software version in the gauge.
There is no issue with winterization. You press the button, it will chug along for a couple of minutes and then shut off.

The icon 3.5 cs is shown in the above page. Iss that your gauge?
It has 5 buttons not 4 as I stated.
There is no other gauge that looks like that.
I beleive in the latest version of the software some things are black and white.
This imprives the contrast amd makes it way easier to see in the bright sun.
The latest version of the software(firmware) in that gauge is 2.10.

Paul,
It may be best to contact your dealer and ask what screen you have installed and if he has the correct operator's guide for it.
When you find out, post here with what your dealer told you so we can advise.

I have emailed the dealer (they are located 3 hours away) and have received no reply. i have called Evinrude Customer Service and was told some one would call be back, but no one has.
All I want is a user manual for my ICON display. My operator's manual for my engine is the 216348 etec operators guide revision d for 200 225 250 300 hp.
On pg. 23 it refers to the icon II users guide and on pg.44 it refers to the icon touch users guide. I am able to find links on the Evinrude site to icon 3.5 cs. That is similar in size and number of button to my black and white display, but documentation does not match the screens I have. I would like to find user guides that my engine operators manual says I should be reviewing, especially as it refers to winterization.
Any help would be appreciatec.
