Re: no oil light comes on off

We need at least the model number of your engine as the no oil light is not triggered the same way on all engines and year models.

Re: no oil light comes on off

On that engine the no oil light would be set from the oil pressure sensor. Most likely cause would be some air bubbles in the oil (possible caused by loose oil hose/bulb connections) passing by the sensor. Air can often be clear by running the winterization procedure.

Re: no oil light comes on off

When the no-oil light comes on, does the horn sound and the motor slow down to about 1200 rpm?

do  you hear the self-test beep and watch the 4 warning lights come on then turn off sequentially when you first turn the key on?

If the NO OIL light stays on - you are sure that is the correct light ? - and the motor does not go into the SAFE mode of 1200 rpm but runs normally, then it is possible that the gauge is faulty.
