The last episode of Ship Shape Boating featured an Evinrude repower was highlighted. An Evinrude app for smart phones was shown and speed was displayed.
I haven't been able to locate this by Google searches.
Does anyone seen or know about this?

The app is not an Evinrude product.
It is a free phone app called Speedometer.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.
The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

Greetings from New Orleans,
Is there any official app by Evinrude? Or perhaps plans to release one? I'm looking for an Android app to display engine data. Something like OutBoardView or VesselView ( OutBoardView requires paid subscription, VesselView is free, but it won't let me upload my files).

There is no stand-alone phone Evinrude phone app to monitor your outboard.
If you have an Evinrude G2 you can purchase an I-LINK accessory that attaches to the engine's NMEA2000 network and you can see and make changes using your phone and the special app for it.
