Possible charging system fault - E-Tec 90 hp x 2

Hi Guys

A bit of advice would be appreciated.

My starboard engine does not charge the battery. All parameters read correctly on the diagnostic software and readings are identical between port and starboard.

Except battery volts.

1) portside @ 1000 rpm reads 13.8 V.

2) starboard @ 1000 rpm reads 12.4 V. This does not increase at all. Motor otherwise performs perfectly.

Any idea where I could possibly start looking for the fault.

Photo below is from port motor.

Inspect the flywheel and stator.....test the stator resistance and output.  If those are good, you may need a new EMM.  You can swap EMM from engine to engine and run at low speed to see if the problem follows the EMM.  Only do this AFTER you have verified all other components in the system are good.

Also, you should post this in the Owner's zone for better coverage.

When running your starboard motor verify you have 55vt on your system volts. That should tell you your flywheel & stator are ok. To do a output test from your stator you will need a adaptor to plug into the connector between the stator & EMM
