I recently purchased a boat from a friend with twin E175FCX50D's that were sitting for 3 years. I installed new spark plugs, water seperators, fuel filters drained all the old fuel and installed new batteries. One motor starts up and runs perfect the other will turns over and is getting spark and I was able to get it to start and run twice but it only ran for 5-10 seconds and then died.
The one thing I did notice is that the fuel circulation pump (elctric pump) is not coming on for the 10 seconds like it is supposed to when the key is on. I checked and the pump is getting 12 volts for 10 seconds at the power connector going to the pump.
My question is will this cause the motor not to start? Also is there something else not causing the pump to turn on if it is getting 12 volts?
Final question is can i buy just the electric pump instead of the pump and vapor assembly?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
