2017 G2 Additives

Im running a G250 and wonder how many others are adding "fule System cleaner" or Carbon gaurd when they fill the tank.

Should I be doing this everytime or is this for older engines that have many hours? and harm in putting it in every time or is it a waste of money?

To me the quality of the fuel is the most important. I use fuel stabilizer on every tank of fuel. It's my understanding that BRP  state that   their 2+4 fuel conditioner is the only additive that should be used.

Use 2+4 if the motor is used infrequently and for storage.

The other items are normally not needed on a newer motor in good shape

Bill, what is considered long term storage. Here in south Louisiana we can fish year round. My boat has been sitting up for about 2 months though, due to hunting season. My tank has non ethanol gas.

Prior to hunting season start adding the Evinrude 2+4 Fuel Stabilizer to have it well circulated through the boat and motor. Perform the winterizing procedure to protect the cast iron cylinder walls, bearings, and internal steel engine parts if the boat will be unused over a month.

Sounds like no one here is useing the carbon cleaner additive. 2+4 I get. I always thought 15 days still is when gas brakes down
