60 e-tech DTLAAA

Is it normal for the centre section of my bottom end above cavitation plate to be rough and a different color. brand new only seen water yesterday for prop choice setup. Thanks

That is the normal finish on those motors. The leg is a lost-foam cast item, thus the texture from the foam pattern, compared to a die-cast piece that usually has a smooth texture.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor.
