Alternator splitter for nautical use

Hi everyone,
I would like to place one of these devices on my dinghy: https://sterling-power.com/products/volt-drop-alternator-splitting-system-pro-split-r?_pos=1&_sid=12....

It ensures that the service battery receives its part of its charge, during navigation, after the engine battery is fully charged.
My question is: can I be calm in connecting the alternator cable to my product or should I check something? eg tensions, etc?

I own an Evinrude 200HO 06'

This from your Evinrude dealer is a lot easier to install and works well.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

Hi,

thanks for the information. Do you have also a manual?

Should I place it up or downstream the battery master switch?

you can download a free copy of the your engine's operator's guide at  http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/
Select EVINRUDE (or the appropriate heading) from the pull down menu, then choose the model number or year of your motor
