I'm looking at getting a 90hp. Used as I cannot possibly afford new. I notice that there are Blue and White motors. I have read somewhere that the White ones are designated as Saltwater versions. Does this mean the Blue ones have an inferior corrosion resistance treatment? The one I'm hoping to get is Blue but I fish exclusively in Saltwater. Would using the Blue motor in Saltwater void the warranty (there's 3 yrs. remaining)?

Often the white motors are the 25" shaft length versions and are more likely used on larger boats, such as offshore rigs.
Years back the only real difference between the blue and the white motors was the steering arm. Everything else was the same and they all use stainless steel hardware. There is no problem using a blue motor in saltwater and that does NOT affect a warranty. Be advised that Evinrude suggests greasing the fittings and the prop shaft splines more often than the 3yr/300 hr interval when used in saltwater.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.
