Cdi powerpack installation on 1972 100esl72r

Cdi instructions say disconnect all safety circuits and clipper circuits then remove them. So how's th battery charge the tech work?

How's the battery charge and the tech work?  Thanks guys, I removed the clipper circuit only then installed the pulse pack. The motor fired as long as the starter was engaged but died when key turned back to run position. After studying the schematic I realised taking the clipper circuit out broke the rectifier circuit so I made a jumper to connect the rectifier to keyed power and that old motor ran like a spotted ape! Going fishing in the morning!

Evinrude does not recommend removing any safety devices.
