Dismantle clean and refit carburettors on 70 horse Evinrude

I'm about to maintenance my carburettors on my 70 horse Evinrude 1980 outboard, having never done this before is there anything major I should know all carburettors the same cheers

You need to synchronize them after refitting. Why do you need to dismantle them?

 

Try to obtain a service manual for this procedure. Rather involved.

 

Even experienced mechanics get baffled by the 70 hp carburettor adjustments.

I didn't have a fuel and water filter on my boat I ended up with a lot of crap in them I managed to sort them out I'm now getting 28.4 knots out of them which is 4.4 knots better and what they've ever done everything just needed a good clean and service cheers

50% of it was I wanted to know how they work as well and how to do it just for the hell of it
