Does hour meter keep count after battery is disconnected?

Hi. I'm getting ready to winterize my boat and disconnect the battery until next June. Just want to make sure the little digital hour meter will still keep count if disconnected for nine months. If so, does it have an internal battery or non-volatile memory or something?

It's this Faria digital meter...

Once electricity is removed from the meter, it will not add any time to the total.  It only operates when the keyswitch is in the ON position.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

Sorry,  I misunderstood the question.

Normaly the total time will remain in memory but you may wnat to check with Faria if there are any limits or temperature extremes that could affect it.

Yes, the meter has non-volatile memory so it will hold its last reading if the battery is disconnected for 9 days, 9 weeks or 9 months.
