I had received my boat back after a long wait with a new emm put in it and a cost of around $2000 and labor . If there is a problem with the etec motors EMM the company should fix it or recall the parts. It doesn't make sense to have a motor with a 3 year no maintenance policy only to have the EMM go out and cost you a load of money to fix. I keep my motor in tip top shape, so only thing wrong with it was the EMM. If this is the weak spot in the design of the motor, then the consumer should be getting this part at a highly discounted price. If its going to be a disposable product (EMM) and numerous units have gone bad then there should be a disposable price per unit.
