ICON PRO gauges

I recently took advantage of the re-power promotion and will be replacing my tired and thirsty 1988 225 with a 200HO.  The dealer will be installing the new ICON PRO 3.5in RPM and Speedometer as well as the 2in ICON Fuel, Volt, Water Pressure and Water Temp. Gauges.  Question 1 - trying to decide white or black?  I like the white for daytime viewing while the ICON brochure only shows the nighttime black with red numbers (looks ideal for night).  How do the white gauges appear at night?  Question 2 - I will be doing a new gauge panel and need to know the hole size for the 3.5 and 2 in. Gauges and minimum spacing center to center between the RPM and Speedometer holes to give 1/2 inch between the two gauges.  Thanks Rich

Minimum Gauge Spacing (center to center)


• 5 3/8 in. (144 mm) between 5 in. instruments


• 4 1/8 in. (105 mm) between 5 in. instruments and 2 in. instruments


• 3 15/16 in. (100 mm) between 3.5 in. instruments


• 3 1/4 in. (83 mm) between 3.5 in. instruments and 2 in. instruments


• 2 3/4 in. (70 mm) between 2 in. instruments


Instrument Panel Thickness -- One inch (26 mm) maximum.


Hole Sizes


• 4 3/8 in. (111 mm) for 5 in. instruments


• 3 3/8 in. (86 mm) for 3.5 in. instruments


• 2 1/16 in. (53 mm) for 2 in. instruments
