NO OIL alarm on 2007 75hp E-TEC

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on my issue with my engine.  Its a 2007 75hp and I recently have gotten a no oil alarm which was tripping code 38 reference missed impulses.  I had an e-tec mechanic look at it and he said its either the oil pump or the  EMM.  I bought a USED identical pump and installed it and primed it with evinrude software.  I got the code to disappear and  it would run fine for the day but then I trim it  up and leave it overnight and the alarm returns the following day.  I know they redesigned the oil pump with updated software after 2007 and was wondering if I need to purchase that new pump with updated software to fix this issue.  I am pretty sure there is no oil leak or air in the system since I have checked everything and primed it multiple times.  Would I get the same code even if I swapped out the oil pumps if it was a pump issue?  Is there something going on with the EMM?  Is there a spot where air is getting in that I may not be aware  of?  How can I completely bleed the oil out of the lines with the interior tank setup?

The only correct way to eliminate the NO OIL alarms is to install the improved oil pump assembly and have the dealer program the EMM for it.
