Hello BlueWaterBill, my dealer have checked the system and have founded a fail on the fuel pump.
The original part number of the pump is 5006084, but the new part number is 5010819, so I bought the new one.
In the instructions that comes with the pump comes a "restrictor" and an "o-ring"
And in the last page says: "Install the restrictor and the o-ring..."
My doubt is that if my outboard is a 115DPXAAA, that originally does not come with this restrictor. Should we have to install anyway? Or it is just for models that comes with it. This restrictor is necessary for all the outboards with the new pump model 5010819?
I will appreciate your advice.
With the new unit you have to install the oring and restrictor as noted due to the different cooling design and plumbing of it.
