RPM change

I just bought a new 115 HO and installed it on a 2008 Nitro. The motor runs great, I'm very pleased how this motor runs. But I noticed that when the thottle is backed off a little from wide open the rpm's  increase about 200 rpm's. At wide open it turns about 5700 and when you back off the throttle a little the rpm's increase and you can fill the boat accelerate. Is this normal for this motor?

Sometimes a lean condition could cause those symptoms. Your dealer can perform a fuel delivery test using a vacuum gauge to determine any fuel restrictions and a clear hose to check for air bubbles.

Throttle linkage out of spec is also a possibility.
