Schrader Valve install

Hello Bill:

Last time I ran my 98 200 Oceanpro, I noticed I had gas leaking from the Schrader valve.

I ordered a new Schrader Valve from BRP, but the OMMC Tech manual doesn't explain how to install it in the fuel solonoid.

The new part consists of the red pointer/valve and stem with an O-Ring at the end.

Do I just pull out the old one and insert the new one like a bayonette?

Please advise

 Thank You

Re: Schrader Valve install

Remove the 4 screws and lift out the cap, oil o-ring and install new valve. Examine cap for any cracks. If old gasket is black replace it with a new brown one. Carefully fit gasket and cap to solenoild, arrow facing centerline, and fasten down making sure everything seats OK and tighten gently in several steps. Don't force anything or overtighten the screws.

Re: Schrader Valve install

Thank You Bill, since I believe the valve is original, I will replace the gasket.
