Spark Plugs

I have a 2007 E-Tec 90hp. What are the specifications for spark plug gap and the torque? What is the spark plug electrode alignment with the fuel injector/

Re: Spark Plugs

Didn't you just ask this same question recently in one of the other sections here?

If you go to the General Information forum of the E-TEC Ownersgroup website, you will find tons of service information and "how-do" articles.   http://www.etecownersgroup.com/?forum=116324

We need your complete model number before we can give out specifications due to many annual and mid-year engineering changes in the motors. With today's high-tech computer-controlled low-emission outboards, the model number is more important than ever.

You will find an EPA sticker that tells the plug number and the gap located near the serial number tag on the motor.

***************

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.
