When ordering a new Etec engine...

...what comes with it?  Just wondering if any gauges are included or do you need to specify right from the word, go?  I know the engines are NMEA compatible, but you would need to specify if you want to use those NMEA screens or just the regular analog type gauges correct?

Some of that depends on which engine you are considering and what country you are in.
In the U.S. G1 engines above 30 hp come with just the engine in the crate. The prop, controls, wiring harness, cables and instruments will usually come out of dealer stock according to what the customer wants.

If you are outside of the US or Canada, then BRP International works with the importers and distributors in your country. Outboards may come in different configurations and in some countries, have a prop, boat harness, controls, and a gauge or display that are included.

What manufacturer produces gauges for BRP.   What other gauges are comparable to the BRP systems and NEMA 2000 for a 2019 90hp Etec?

Re: When ordering a new Etec engine...

BRP gauges are produced by different manufacturers depending on which gauge it is.
For warranty a BRP approved gauge is required that can at least give the basic 4 "system check" warnings. For the 90 hp you could use the analog system check tach and almost any NMEA 2000 MFD for NMEA data. The BRP IconPro digital tach would give NMEA data on a small two line screen. Many of the new Simrad/Lowrance MFD's have Evinrude engine screens which are approved devices.
