Re: Yamaha to Etec - Scared to dealth

Realfun, your review contains a lot of the same wording that all of my G2 customers have said.
I have no idea where Evinrude found the "magic dust" to sprinkle on these engines to make them "scary fast" on accelleration and "make it feel like a whole new lighter boat".

Rick that wasn’t my magic dust. Just passing some info along to a gentleman with some possible  buyers remorse .

I just re powered a Grady White 228. Went from 2000, 200 HPDI Yamaha to a New 2018 225 ETEC. I know it is 18 years difference in the engines and 25 more hp but the range and hole shot of the ETEC is so much better. I sold a Wellcraft with a 2003 Evinrude that ran flawless for 16 years. Good Luck !
