Evinrude twin 250 G2 -Error codes 161, 173, 181, fused B fault and ETC driver short/over temperature

Ok so what are all these codes? Would be good if evinrude publishes them. The end result is the port engine doesnt engage when putting in gear and advancing the throttle. Engine cranks immediately. Problem first thought the battery wasn't energizng the "key reset". But a new battery later and good battery readings and the problem still exists. Any ideas???

The nice thing about this site is that you do not have to post multiple times.

Your questions were answered in your original post.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.

The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.

Thx Bill. Since I added to another person's post I wasn't sure if it would be addressed. Thanks again.

No problem, but it is always best to start a new discussion if you have a question unless you are going to add something constructive to a previous posting. Always list the model and serial number for the quickest and most accurate responses.
