I have 2 brand new 200hp HO Etec 2015 and 2013 on my boat. Engines were installed and upgraded with the new ESM kit. Since installed and during the break in period i cannot get above 2k rpm before they boged down and die. It also takes 20-30 minutes to get them started in the first palce. They are also smoking an abnormal amount. Like a smoke cloud. I pulled injectors and every injector has oil on the injector side and also burnt oil on the injector nozel. XD-100 is ran in my oil tank and the EMM is set up for that. Any thoughts on why they wont run?
Had your dealer checked the motors over and test ran them before delivery to you?
Did you and your dealer sign the pre-delivery inspection form (PDI) ?
It sounds like a couple of situations, not just a single problem. Take it back to your dealer right away for service.
Evinrude joined the rest of the industry which no longer use yearly designations to identify an outboard motor. Everything is by model number printed on the engine's serial number tag.

The factory recommends that a properly trained technician service your Johnson or Evinrude outboard motor. Should you elect to perform repairs yourself, use caution, common sense, and observe safety procedures in the vicinity of flammable liquids, around moving parts, near high-temperature components, and working with electrical or ignition systems.
The information offered here is only general in nature and should not be construed as complete factory approved procedures, techniques, or specifications. Always use the proper service manual for your motor, up-to-date service literature, the correct tools, and have an understanding of how to proceed with troubleshooting and repair methods. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with a procedure, a situation, or a technique, enlist the services of a factory trained technician.
