Re: twin etec battery wirring

The 36 volt trolling motor bank has to be separately charged. It cannot be from the engine.

The following illustration shows how to wire dual engines with individual batteries and the charging isolator cable to charge the house battery independently.

Re: twin etec battery wirring

thank you for the info. i was thinking using the blue sea 5511e switches, aux charging cable to the house battery and the trollbridge 36 connected to the house battery. have you had any experiance with the trollbridge 36?

Re: twin etec battery wirring

I have been using a Yandina Trollbridge 24 tied to my two house batteries.  It works great.  I use it to supply 24V for an electric reel.  When the 24V reel is not in use, the batteries automatically revert back to 12V parallel connection for normal charging.  The Yandina literature shows how to connect it up.  Their tech support is very responsive and top notch.  I have only good things to say about Yandina.
